UPDATED NEWS!

Last spring, our school playground was in a sorry state and was declared unsafe for our use. Because we value outdoor play and building happy, healthy children, we formed a group of volunteers (parents and teachers) to rectify this. In September, the group got together and cleared out the unsafe equipment and replaced it with pee stone and sod. This enabled the children to at least be able to get out and run around again. Many thanks to all who helped us to do this.

We were very fortunate to partner with Let Them Be Kids and were given a National LTBK Helping Hands Award. This award will match dollar for dollar all money we raise and will help us put much needed equipment back in the play area.
It is our plan to expand the play area into a community play park that will include a walking track, a memorial garden and an outdoor classroom with benches and tables. We also want to upgrade our soccer field.

February 14th! What a Great Day at All Hallows! It was our Announcement Day!!! If you were here you certainly felt the excitement. The celebratory atmosphere was tremendous. Our gym was jam packed. Many community representatives and parents were there and the children sang and danced with them. MHA, Glenn Littlejohn presented a cheque for $15,000 from the NL government and the School Council donated $20,000 to the project. What a great start!

During our Parent/Teacher night we sold shamrocks in support of our Play Park. Thank you so much for your support! The owner of the lucky shamrock was Justin / Nicholas Youden(AmandaYouden) of Brigus.  The final tally was $1580.00.

On March 5th and 6th , we held our Dotmocracy. During this time, the children were given the chance to view possible playground equipment and vote for the pieces they would like to see in their play park. They each got 5 votes and made their selections.
Our school Literacy Committee held its second Book Fair of the year and donated the proceeds to the Play Park. Thanks so much!!

Our Recycling Committee held a blitz and recycled their monies to the Play Park! Many Thanks!! The total was $1140.00.

Thanks to all community groups and parents who have helped with donations, in kind donations and volunteering so far. Your support is greatly appreciated.

We've placed loose change bottles at Mom's Take Out, E&E's, Sam's,
